How to Learn a New Language Fast: A Step-by-Step Guide

Posted on June 21, 2022June 21, 2022 By nDir No Comments on How to Learn a New Language Fast: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Write down everything (by hand)

Apart from the fact that constant progress in technology seems to make handwriting into something from the past, don’t underestimate the power of writing things to stimulate your memory! Every time I start learning a new language in Languages Tutor try Croatia right now-I keep an ancient notebook where I can write down all new words and main grammar points. Physical efforts to really write those words help me memorize it better, and using different colored ink makes it more interesting.

2. Get musicals

The potential learning of songs has been universally recognized, and I can confirm from my own experience. My main reason to start learning new language is the desire to understand what Mariah Carey continues to sing from my stereo. My advice in this case is not discouraged by complicated lyrics – Take small steps, learn the choir first and then move to the others. But also, don’t be disappointed when you know that a song has a completely different meaning from what you imagine – at least, you have learned enough language to realize it!

3. Watch TV in your new language

Today, it is very easy to access the TV series and movies in the original language, wherever you live or what new language you will learn. I would recommend to stick to the short episode at first, so I could watch the scene several times without being discouraged. First, watch without subtitles (or with English subtitles); Then, activate the subtitles for your own native language and check your understanding. Create a note of idiomatic expression or certain words that you don’t know in your notebook.  I often hear from students things such as “I have to watch cartoons,  and this is for children so its must be easy!”, But keep in mind that  the so cartoons are made for genuine speakers, and often use language that is most  suitable for children, which is not easy to useful for you to learn!

4. Connect with learners and online language teachers

If you have access to a good internet connection, you can search for language classes with original speakers through programs such as Skype or Facetime. You can use this not only for the conversation class, but also the grammar and writing class, because the chat functions like a general white board! You can also find many online platforms where you can offer language exchanges with users who are interested in learning your own language … A good way to get new friends too.

5. Change the language settings on your social network

One of the first things that I always recommend to my students is to replace all their social devices and networks to their target language. At first it was not easy, to trace the post, read messages or even make calls when you were not sure about the words you read on the screen-I still open an online translator when I need to download something from me who speaks Croatia I Facebook-but you will see That in a short time you will get used to verbs such as “sharing”, “like”, “cancel” or “read” which might be very useful when traveling or reading business emails!

6. Travel

Obviously, everyone will agree that the only best way to learn new language such as Pashto Language is to travel to the country where the language is spoken. Although this is certainly true, it is not enough to just order a trip to the destination if you do not try and get to know local culture. Moving further and far from your comfort zone will allow you to meet new people and new culture, find the authentic spirit of the language you learn.

7. Open your mouth and leave

Speaking of comfort zones, you shouldn’t be afraid to speak the target language. First of all, the original speaker is usually flattered to see that someone tries to make themselves understood. Second, as some body said: “Never make fun of somebody who speaks of a broken English. It only means that they speak at least another language “so this is true for any language.
